Mission Statement
Gold Star Wives of America, Inc. is a non-profit
national service organization, incorporated in the State
of New York on December 15, 1945.
GSW was granted a Federal Charter by Congress
on December 4, 1980, recognizing this organization as
"unique" and capable of providing a service not available
from any other organization.
The Gold Star Wives of America Vision: We
pledge to work diligently and unselfishly in the interest
of all who have been called upon in a very personal way
to share in the "last full measure of devotion" to our
country and mankind. We will work:
- To advance and carry out the purposes for which
we originally banded together.
- To seek nationwide recognition of our organization
which is unique for service widows.
