The Chapter/Region Liaison works with Chapter and Region Presidents and any other officer or member who requests assistance.  

Regarding chapters: she assists chapters that are struggling to remain active; encourages members-at-large where there are five or more members in an area to form a chapter; provides members with a "Chapter Assistance Packet”; communicates with the National Treasurer regarding requests to start new chapters; sends "Chapter Report Forms” to all chapters by April 1 of each year and compiles the data into a report for inclusion in the packet for the National Convention. 

Regarding regions: she assists Region Officers as requested; works with Region Presidents in the formation of new chapters; sends the new officer report form to each Region President by April 1 of each year; compiles the data from these forms as part of the report for National Convention and for the yearly update of the National Gold Star Wives Directory.
