Widow of Air Force Retiree, Arthur Tillman, who died in 1980. Mother of two sons. Joined GSW in 1985 as a member-at-large. Now a life member and have served: three terms (6 years) as Region President, 12 years as Chapter President; National Convention and Region Conference Coordinator and Outreach Director and Education Director on the National Board. Currently, serving as Treasurer of Miami Valley Chapter and Vice President of Midwest Region.
Actively involved in community service at Greater Allen A.M.E. Church; American Legion Auxiliary Unit 776; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, lnc., Dayton Alumnae Chapter; Order of the Eastern Star, Unity Chapter and Order of the Golden Circle, Miami Assembly.
Experience: Licensed Cosmetologist over 20 years, working in Arkansas, New Mexico, Florida, Ohio and Japan. Executive Secretary - 3 years and Program Manager -~ 17 years at Wright-Patterson AFB Ohio. Held leadership positions in several organizations.
Education: Beauty College in Texarkana, Arkansas and Hair Design Academy in Panama City, Florida. AAS in Executive Secretarial, Sinclair Community College, Dayton, Ohio; BA in Business Management, Antioch University, Yellow Springs, Ohio. Many Air Force training seminars.
Honors: Several awards and recognitions for Community Service. GSW Special Recognition award.
Duties of Parliamentarian:
The National Parliamentarian is responsible to the National President and for order at all meetings. Prior to Region Conferences the officer prepares a memo with instructions on how resolutions are to be prepared and how to submit them. Resolutions from Regions, Chapters, and individual members must be in possession of the National Parliamentarian 30 days prior to the National Convention.
Resolutions will be reviewed for duplications or inappropriate submissions. Accepted Resolutions will then be numbered. At Convention the Parliamentarian will preside during the consideration of Resolutions.
