Joint Hearing of the Senate and House Veterans Affairs Committees

Gold Star Wives have been invited to testify before a Joint Hearing of the Senate and House Veterans Affairs Committees. The Government Relations Committee has selected Cynthia Gibson from Texas to testify on our behalf. The hearing is open to anyone who would like to attend and will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at 10 A.M. at the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room SD-G50.

We will begin our Color the Hill Gold meetings that day with meetings with Senate staffers to discuss our priority issues. We will have meetings on the 15th with staffers from the House of Representatives to discuss our key legislative issues. We are still continuing to seek support for bills that would increase the Dependency Indemnity Compensation (DIC) (Senate Bill 1990 and House Bill 4106) and make it more equitable. Please help bring awareness to these bills by writing or calling your Members of Congress and ask for their support on these bills.
