The purpose of this correspondence is to extend a personal invitation to you, and your guests, to attend an Interagency (Internal Revenue Service (IRS), U.S. Department of Education (DOE), and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 2018 Memorial Day Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2018 (11:00am – 12:30 P.M. EST) at the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): 451 7th Street, SW, Washington, D.C., 20410 (Brooke-Mondale Auditorium). The 2018 Memorial Day Theme is:
“Patriotism, Honor, Valor, WE Remember”

We are honored to have as our Keynote Speaker, Command Sergeant Major Michele S. Jones, U.S. Army, (Ret.). We are also honored to have Ms. Janice Chance, President and Chaplain, The American Gold Star Mothers (Maryland Chapter, Inc.), and members of The American Gold Star Mothers (Maryland Chapter). Honored guests will also include Mr. Lloyd Calderon, Chairman, Interagency Veterans Advisory Council, and Laurie Sayles, President & CEO, Civility Management Solutions, the Military District of Washington (MDW) Joint Forces Ceremonial Color Guard, and Bugler, the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Junior ROTC (John F. Kennedy High School Naval Cadets), and the Franklin Military Academy Junior ROTC Cadets, as well as other distinguished guests.
A reception for all invited guest is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. (EST), in the Brooke – Mondale Auditorium, and the 2018 Memorial Day Ceremony will begin, promptly, at 11:00am. (EST).

All outside guest must use the South Plaza Employee Entrance when entering the HUD building. Parking will be available at the L'Enfant Plaza Garage, on D Street, S.W. (Security screening is MANDATORY – Please bring proper photo ID).
