GSW National President at Fort Knox, KY
Thank you all for you words of encouragement and support in response to my
representation of GSW on April 14, at Fort Knox, KY
I was invited to attend the "Fallen Soldier Memorial and Dedication
Ceremony" in honor of the military crew that were killed when their
helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan in August 2011. The Ceremony was
beautiful, profoundly touching and heartwarming.
I was indeed excited to be in the immediate company of Actor Kevin Costner,
a genuine and personable gentleman, and Mrs. Norma Luther, National
President of American Gold Star Mothers. I attended to support the
families of the Fallen Heroes and appreciated the opportunity for exposure
of our wonderful GSW organization.

Members of the Flamingo Chapter sold Wreaths Across America
at the Naval Exchange in Orlando, Florida.
Thanks to the many supporters and volunteers
they did very well.
On 14 May the Flamingo Chapter hosted a tea in honor of the American Gold Star Mothers in Central Florida. The ladies shown are, left to right – Norma Luther, incoming National President; Molly Morel, current National President, me, Heidi Waugh, Flamingo Chapter and Jeanetta Vanover, Flamingo Chapter President. Norma and Molly were my house guests for the event and we all had a wonderful time.
