Secretary of Defense Military Health System Review
June 20, 2014

The Department of Defense is committed to continuous improvement of both our standards of care and the system that delivers it. As such, on May 28, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel directed a 90-day comprehensive review of the Military Health System (MHS), focused on access to care, safety, and the quality of care provided to all DoD beneficiaries, both in military treatment facilities and in the health care that the department purchases from civilian health care providers.
